Feeling overwhelmed in your business?
You’re not alone.
Between family, clients, content, social media, and the never-ending to-do list, it’s easy to feel scattered — especially when shiny object syndrome is pulling you in every direction.
As a busy mompreneur with two adult children with special needs, I’ve lived in that overwhelm. And it’s exactly why I became so committed to learning how to reach my goals without burning myself out.
Here are the three steps that helped me go from overwhelmed to focused and flowing — and they can help you too.
1. Focus on the Vision You Want
You have to focus on what you want in order to create it.
But the challenge?
Research shows that 80% of our thoughts are automatically negative. Our brains are wired to focus on what’s wrong — not what’s possible.
When you stay focused on what you lack (time, clients, clarity), you drain the energy you need to move forward.
As Tony Robbins says:
“Where focus goes, energy flows.”
“Where focus goes, energy flows.”
The shift that changed everything for me:
Pressure → Possibility
Pressure → Possibility
Instead of “I don’t have time,” I ask:
“How would it be possible to create the business I want in the time I have?”
“How would it be possible to create the business I want in the time I have?”
Try asking yourself the same.
Focus on what you want — and on what’s possible.
Focus on what you want — and on what’s possible.
2. Schedule Your Time Like a Boss
Having a clear action plan means nothing if your activities aren’t on the calendar.
Because if it’s not scheduled… it’s probably not happening.
Scheduling isn’t about rigidity — it’s about stepping into the identity of the CEO you want to be. CEOs don’t wait for time… they create it.
Here’s what I recommend:
And yes, schedule time to schedule.
Flow comes from doing things in a way that aligns with your strengths. For me, that meant using a teleprompter app so I could write scripts (my strength) and deliver confidently without spending hours preparing for livestreams.
Ask yourself:
“How can I show up in a way that feels focused, flowing, and fun?”
“How can I show up in a way that feels focused, flowing, and fun?”
3. Protect Your Energy With Simple Self-Care Practices
My coach once told me:
“There is no business without you.”
“There is no business without you.”
Overwhelm isn’t just a time issue — it’s an energy issue.
When you’re depleted, everything becomes harder. Your consistency, creativity, and confidence all take a hit.
A few simple practices that make a big difference for me:
Small habits. Big impact. Sustainable energy.
Your Focus + Flow Formula
Here’s your path to getting back on track:
When these three work together, overwhelm fades and momentum returns.
